Joel Meinholz put together another Bum Rush the Spot event last weekend in Wilmington, Delaware. And yes, we were there with our mediocre HD filming skills. Rob Williams of Philadelphia’s Pusher wheels helped set things up with the guys at Kinetic Skate Shop and brought together a gang of sick local skaters at the 7th street DIY spot in Wilmington. As if the crew wasn’t already sick enough with Meinholz, Jahmal Williams, Steve Brandi and Kevin Tierney a whole gaggle of rad guests showed up to hang out and shred what was probably one of the funnest DIY spots I’ve ever been to.
Thanks to all the sponsors who made this event possible: Vans, Hopps, Diamond Supply, Kinetic, Domestics, Bones, Indy and Pusher wheels. But also a big thanks has to go out to Rob Williams for putting all 5 of us up at his house in Philly, organizing the event and being our tour guide. This was an incredibly fun weekend and I’m stoked to have gotten to be a part of it. We have an extended version of this piece coming out soon but here’s the Cliff’s Notes version of what went down.
