News: Skate Boston With Kevin Coakley

Skate Boston With Kevin Coakley

I used to see Kevin Coakley at the Skatepark of Tampa fairly regularly and always got a rad vibe of him. I actually thought he was a local Tampa Bay area native because I would see him so often and knew he was tight with Tampa skaters like Steve Brandi and Pat Stiener. Turned out his mom lived locally but Kevin still called Massachusetts home. I’ve always been a fan of his skating and the way he seems to float on his skateboard like a stylish hovercraft. When I decided to do the 2nd episode of this show in Boston, it seemed a no-brainer that Kevin was the kid to call up.

You may all be over watching skateboarding after the events in your local area for Go Skateboarding Day. I know I’m zorched from skating across the world for the New York City events from today. But this episode of the new Ride Channel show is really chill and lets you catch a glimpse into a city that is quite often forgotten. But from which some of my favorite east coast skaters originated. Take a gander at Kevin’s show with his special guests Lee Berman and the Orchard dudes.

Love this show.  Coakley’s got style for days, Boston is a great city and Orchard is an awesome shop.  Well done.
