The Results Are In! "Hot Plate" Re-Edit Winner Announced!

Well, we received 60 pages of votes and comments and you guys narrowed the Jimmy Lannon "Hot Plate" re-edits down to a very blatant top 3 picks. Out of the top 12 we originally picked we received nearly 200 votes but you only voted for about 5-6 different edits. So you made it pretty clear that you liked a few specific edits. So Jimmy, Marshall and the TOA crew heard you and we have your top 4 list. Are you ready? #1: Zach Jumper

Zach's edit kinda had it all. A unique song that fit Jimmy's style, great editing that read the moments of the beat very well, originality with the inserted quotes from the different historical figures depicted on Jimmy's"Reality" griptape and some original hand drawn titles to add another layer of personality. This was an awesome edit that didn't just add a new song but gave Jimmy's part a whole new feel and a unique theme running throughout. Definitely a winning edit. Zach will be receiving a hefty new Magenta & TOA box and the respect of all of us at TOA and the countless other editors who entered this crazy contest. Congratulations Zach!

#2: Mark Dunning "Reheated"

We're all well aware of the fact that Mark Dunning, creator and editor of the "Deep Dish" series out of Chicago, is an incredible editor. But to be able to make such a rad new creation from someone else's footage was really an impressive feat. Mark managed to turn Jimmy's "Hot Plate" part into a full fledged Deep Dish part from start to finish. This was Marshall's top pick so we had to give it 2nd place. And I really don't think anybody could argue that this edit doesn't deserve to be in the top 3. Congrats Mark, we'll be sending you a little Magenta & TOA second place prize for your awesome entry!

#3: Nicholas Marra-Depaz

Nick received an outpouring of heavy support from all of your across the cyberwebs. And Marshall and Jimmy were also fans of the edit and insisted it needed to make the top 3. So Nicholas made it in and will be receiving a small Magenta & TOA package to thank him for his dope entry.

 Honorable Mention: Matthew Jimenez

Matthews edit was another of Marshall and Jimmy's favorites. With the chopped and screwed track and the dope editing job, it was in the running for the top 3 but ended up in a VERY close 4th place. Not too shabby considering the countless entries that came in for this contest. We're stoked on this edit though and we want to send a little care package Matt's way. Honorable Mention: Edwin Matos

Edwin's edit seemed to be the crowd favorite edging out all other edits with several more votes than anyone else. Mister Matos has a LOT of friends who came through hard to support his edit and we were stoked to receive an entry from the Puerto Rico scene. Good work Edwin and thanks for the rad entry. Well, that does it, the latest TOA re-edit contest has concluded. We can't thank all of you enough for your awesome entries. We're always shocked by the outpouring of support for these projects and we also have to thank Marshall and Jimmy for providing the dope raw footy for you guys to work with.
